If you haven’t already seen it, go see the movie Juno. Every minute was great and the lead actress Ellen Page should win a freakin’ Oscar.
The only downside was stupid moviefone’s fault. I get the list of times for the movie, and when I get to the theatre, the time I picked happened to be OCA. As it turns out, OCA films are for the hearing impaired. They are shown on a slightly smaller screen ( in the Regal I went to) and show subtitles! Moviefone never said shit about OCA. I sucked it up and went to that show anyway.
Its annoying and rather difficult to watch a movie in english with subtitles. I find myself concentrating on NOT reading every word of the movie so much so that by the end I need some aspirin.
The upside to the OCA version was that the theatre was filled with all old people. No one was being annoying and throwing shit at the screen or talking on their cell phone.
Ah, gotta run… my hamburger phone is ringing.
update (01.22.2008): Juno gets Oscar Nominations for best screen play, best director, best film and best actress (ellen page)!
